The “BASHIKHONG CHANURA SINLON LUP” (BCSL), a non governmental, non-profit making, non-sectarian and non political women voluntary organisation of BashikhongKitnapanung, Imphal East District, Manipur, India was established and organised for the development and welfare of the people of all communities in the society by social workers, local organisers & youth volunteers of like-minded to bring development in the rural and far hilly places from the city where there are lack of communications,transportations, educations, economically & socially backward areas. The organisation BCSL have registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 bearing Registration number- 4501 of 1983, dated 3rd March, 1983. The organisation is also registered under FCRA, 1976 vide no. 194130054 dated 29th July, 1987. The BCSL, Women Organisation has organised the following units for the proper functioning. Senior Citizen’s Home under the scheme of IPSr.CH, MSJE,Government of India. Legal Aid Clinic under the supervision of MANIPUR STATE LEGAL SERVICES AUTHORITY. Legal Aid Clinic under the supervision of MANIPUR STATE LEGAL SERVICES AUTHORITY FREE HEALTH PROGRAMME (Ailing Women’s & children programme). Embroidery Training Programme. Observance of Women’s Day, Older Person’s Day, Environment Day and others are undertaken. For administration of the organisation, the executive members and the voluntary members of the collectively donated small amounts as an organisational funds, and initiated the services afterward for the betterment of the society as a whole and nurtured the sense of enthusiasm uplifting the backward and lead the steps forward for the economic and social development. RUNNING PROJECT under MSJE, Government of India, New Delhi : Senior Citizens Home (SHANG-GAI ) at Bashikhong Kitnapanung , Imphal East District, Manipur Under the financial Assistance from Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, New Delhi Under the scheme of Integrated Programme for Senior Citizen (IPSr. C.). In order to run the Senior Citizen Home smoothly, The Organisation have engaged nine staffs namely: (i)Superintendent/ Warden (full time), (iii)Yoga Instructor (part time), (iii) Cook (full time), (iv) Cleaner (full time), (v) Helper or Multitasking staff ( full time), (vi) Staff Nurse ( part time), (vii) Doctor (part time) and (ix)Chowkidar (full time) All the staff members carry out their duties in accordance with the rules and regulations cooperatingalongwith the executive members of the organization in providing food & shelter as well as their daily needs to the inmates of the inmates at the Home. The organization is rendering out all the necessary nutritions, i.e. breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, etc. in a healthy and hygienic way everyday. Health check-up, yoga and meditation, recreational activities such as outing, visiting the sacred holy places in the local areas, etc. are provided. Although coming from different families and community the inmates live like a big family with an attachment to the staffs who worked wholeheartedly for the betterment inmates.
